Fees & Rebates

Fees

The standard session fees are $190.00 for a 60-minute session.

The initial session cost is $220.00 due to the additional time that goes into treatment planning and behind the scenes work starting with you.

The standard $190.00 rate is far below the $300.00 recommended by the Australian Psychological Society or the standard $230.00-$300.00 for the Sydney area.

Rebates

Both Medicare and NDIS rebates are available

Medicare

If you are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD or other mental health issues that interfere with your quality of life and functioning, speaking with your GP may give you access to a mental health care plan.

Through this plan, every calendar year, you’ll receive $93.35 back on 10 sessions bringing the cost per session down to $96.65 per week or $48.32 per fortnight. After Medicare receives your paid invoice, they will send the rebate money directly to the account you select on your myGov account.

Reviewing your plan

On the 6th session, you will need to speak to your doctor in person or via the phone to access the four remaining rebate sessions for that year. GPs don’t require more than two discussions of your plan per year.

You don’t have to renew the plan each year if you haven’t used all the sessions that year. For example, if you get a plan in October and still have 8 sessions you don’t have to renew your plan if you wish to start sessions in January the following year.

Your 6th session review can occur between four weeks to six months after the mental health care plan is created.

NDIS

NDIS offers you a 100% rebate on the session fee, meaning you pay nothing for the session. If you believe you might be eligible, we can discuss the requsitie criteria for a plan and guidance to apply for one. You can be plan managed where the invoice goes directly to the NDIS or self-managed where you pay and the government sends the full amount to your elected bank account.

The full cost of necessary reports and consultations can also be claimed on your plan.
